Snake Oil Liniment, Topical Solution
4 oz $18
8 oz $27

During the 18th and 19th-century many traveling salesmen advertised Snake Oil as a CURE-ALL ELIXIR for many kinds of health problems, although it usually did not contain any snake oil, and was more often a combination of mineral oil, herbs and spices. The Snake Oil offered by Creator’s Apothecary is NOT a cure-all elixir, but contains potent, 100% essential oils that many individuals find work effectively when sprayed or applied.

Snake Oil Liniment has proven to be valuable for multiple conditions and purposes.  Not only can you achieve muscle relief, but many people have sprayed this onto their chest and immediately experienced enhanced breathing (many with residual respiratory challenges post-covid”).

Due to the naturally occurring antibacterial properties of essential oils, Snake Oil Liniment can also be used for antibacterial hand sanitizer.

But wait, there’s more, read the directions below for additional uses.  Enjoy and recommend this effective, natural wellness aid to your friends.

Isopropyl Alcohol, also known as Rubbing Alcohol, is antiseptic, astringent, a surface disinfectant, deodorant. Rubbing alcohol is frequently used as a liniment.

A liniment is a liquid that can be rubbed over the surface of aching muscles or painful joints to help reduce pain, inflammation, and swelling.

Because isopropyl alcohol is very drying, it is classified as a skin irritant. This irritation to the skin is able to increase blood circulation to that area of the body, and the improved circulation helps to ease pain and inflammation. Rubbing alcohol is useful for arthritis pain and joint swelling.

According to Medical Dictionary, the name “rubbing alcohol” stems from its use in the past as a medicinal rubdown. In most of the British parts of the world, Rubbing Alcohol is still commonly known as Surgical Spirit.

The term “rubbing alcohol” came into prominence in North America during the Prohibition Era of 1920 to 1933, when alcoholic beverages were prohibited throughout the United States. The term “rubbing” emphasized that this alcohol was not intended for consumption.

Isopropyl Alcohol is a natural bactericidal treatment. This means a concentration of 50% or higher kills bacteria, fungus and viruses, although not necessarily preventing bacteria growth. Rubbing Alcohol can kill germs on high-touch surfaces such as your phone, keyboard and computer mouse.

WebMd says, “70% is actually better for disinfecting. It has more water, which helps it to dissolve more slowly, penetrate cells, and kill bacteria. The disinfecting power of rubbing alcohol drops at concentrations higher than 80%-85%.”

It is on the Environmental Protection Agency’s “List of Antimicrobial Products Effective Against Mycobacterium Tuberculosis, Human HIV-1 and Hepatitis B Virus.”

In addition to its use as a liniment for muscle aches, as a bactericide it is also used in hand sanitizers, first aid treatments for minor cuts, scrapes and burns, as well as for prepping injection sites.

Rubbing alcohol can help kill odor-causing bacteria; used to deodorize shoes. WebMd also indicates that breathing in rubbing alcohol after surgery often helps soothe nausea and upset stomach after surgery, and is effective in treating ear infections and restoring the pH level in the ear.

Alcohol is an astringent, which tightens pores. Some people swear by it as a way to tone and tighten the skin after cleansing, but is very drying to skin.

Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. Philippians 1:2

This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.” Essential Oils (EOs) are highly concentrated extractions of plants and can be harmful if not used carefully.  Incorporating EOs into your lifestyle should not cause unnecessary work, but it is important to heed all safety precautions. Never take EOs internally, even if a label say it is safe for consumption by mouth.  Never put undiluted EOs directly onto your skin (NEAT) to avoid sensitization of skin, and never apply NEAT to broken skin.  Some EOs can cause irritation, sensitization or allergic reactions in some individuals.  When using a new oil topically for the first time, perform a skin patch test on a small area of the skin.  Some EOs are phototoxic and can cause irritation, inflammation, blistering, redness and/or burning when exposed to UVA rays of the sun.  Discontinue using EOs immediately if you encounter any irritation, redness or reaction.  Take care when adding EOs directly to bathwater.  EOs do not stayed mixed in water, and can, therefore “pool” causing the EO to touch body areas in full strength with the potential for irritation.  Some EOs should be avoided during pregnancy or by those with asthma, epilepsy, or other health conditions.  Avoid using EOs near the genitals, mouth, nose, eyes and ears. Extreme caution should be used with children and elderly (due to medication mix).  Care should be taken when using EOs near animals as not all EOs are safe to use on dogs, cats, birds, horses or other pets.  EOs are flammable; keep them away from fire hazards.
