Directions for Use: Apply this rich, emollient and nourishing body oil to your hands, arms, face, legs – any place you are experiencing dry dehydrated skin.  Watch your skin come alive with moisture and hydration.  Apricot Oil and Vitamin E Oil both are considered non-comedogenic with a rating of 2 – meaning that it has a moderately low risk; will not clog pores for MOST people.  Coconut Oil has a comedogenic rating of 2 – 3: moderately low risk to moderate risk; will not clog pores for MOST people. Breakouts will depend upon skin type.

Jasmine (Jasminum officinale) Antidepressant, and antispasmodic. Jasmine, known in India, as the “queen of the night” and “moonlight of the grove”, has been treasured by women for its beautiful, aphrodisiac-like fragrance. Roberta Wilson states, “In many religious traditions, the jasmine flower symbolizes hope, happiness, and love.” Jasmine fragrance provides an uplifting of the emotions and the oil affects emotional balance and the hormone system helping with nervous exhaustion and tension. As a perfume or cologne, it increases feelings of attractiveness. It was also used in teas, perfumes, and incense. Jasmine is an oil that affects the emotions; it penetrates the deepest layers of the soul, opening doors to our emotions. It produces a feeling of confidence, energy, euphoria, and optimism. It helps to reduce anxiety, apathy, depression, dilemmas that deal with relationships, indifference, and listlessness. Jasmine has been used in skincare for dry, greasy, irritated, and sensitive skin, emotionally triggered eczema. Other uses for Jasmine include abnormal drowsiness, muscle spasms, sprains, and pain relief.  The body systems affected are emotional balance and the hormonal system.

Mandarin (Citrus reticulata)  Antifungal, antiseptic, antispasmodic, digestive, sedative to nervous system, stimulant to digestive and lymphatic systems, tonic. The name of the fruit is said to have originated from a group of Imperial Chinese officials called the mandarins. The fruit was a traditional gift given to these officials. Mandarin affects the digestive system and skin and is refreshing, uplifting, revilatlizing, appeasing, gentle, and promotes happiness. Mandarin is good for stress and irritability due to its sedative and slightly hypnotic properties.  Mandarin is recommended for children, seniors and pregnant women because it is very gentle. It has been used in children’s remedies for indigestion and hiccoughs, and for the elderly to strengthen the digestive function and the liver. Other uses include help with acne, digestive problems, dyspepsia, fluid retention, hepatic duct function, hiccoughs, insomnia, intestinal problems, nervous tension, obesity, restlessness. Mandarin has been used for a variety of skin problems: congested and oily skin, scars, spots, tones the skin, for stretch marks combine with either jasmine, lavender, sandalwood, and/or frankincense.

Menthol (mentha pepperita) (From Peppermint Crystals) Analgesic, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory (prostate and nerve) antiseptic, antispasmodic, antiviral and invigorating.  According to Roberta Wilson, “In Roman mythology, when Pluto professed his love for the nymph Mentha, his wife Persephone, afire with jealousy, crushed Mentha into dust on the ground. Pluto, unable to change her back, transformed her into a peppermint plant and gave her a fresh fragrance so she would smell sweet whenever stepped upon.” This oil may elevate and open sensory systems and help anger, depression and fatigue. For decades peppermint has been used to soothe digestive difficulties (diarrhea, digestive aid, indigestion, nausea, heartburn, gas, morning sickness, food poisoning, motion sickness, vomiting), relieves colic, freshen breaths (and helps halitosis), headaches and migraines, aids the respiratory function (asthma, bronchitis). Peppermint may assist with reducing a fever, soothe and cool skin and may help keep body cooler on hot days. In skincare, it helps with itchy skin and hives. Peppermint has been used hot flashes and menstrual irregularity, hysteria, inflammation, and liver problems. Spearmint has been used to relieve hiccough, colic, nausea, indigestion, flatulence, headaches, sores, scabs, Bronchitis, candida, cystitis, hypertension. Other uses: This oil may balance and increase metabolism, which may help burn up fats and toxins in the body. It may aid the glandular, nervous, and respiratory systems. High in oleic and linoleic acids Apricot Kernel OilPrunus armeniaca – is analgesic, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, anti-aging, anti-bacterial, antiseptic, antitumor, aphrodisiac, emollient, nourishing to skin, sedative, and vulnerary. Effective for all skin types – from acne-prone, dry, sensitive to mature, it is also particularly beneficial for aggravated and inflamed skin. Apricot Oil is mild, soothing, absorbs well, is light and moisturizing. Its rich, smooth texture is super nourishing due to high content of Vitamin A. Rich in an abundance of plant phytosterols (specifically b-sisterol) its light texture glides easily over the skin. Apricot oil helps the skin rebuild tissues, regulate cellular growth and nourishes the skin by keeping it hydrated.

Vitamin ETocopherol, Tocotrienol – antioxidant with powerful healing, regenerating and scar prevention properties. Vitamin E is often thought of as a single compound, but instead it is actually a group of eight fat-soluble compounds with powerful antioxidant effects (eight fat soluble compounds that include four tocopherols and four tocotrienols). Of these eight chemical forms, alpha-tocopherol best meets the dietary requirements of humans.

Alpha-tocopherol, which is a fat-soluble substance found largely in green vegetables, nuts, seeds and fruits. Good Food Sources: Avocados, whole-grain cereals, dark green leafy vegetables, poultry, eggs, seafood, seeds, nuts, wheat germ, asparagus, and various oils sunflower, almond, wheat germ, and hazelnut.

Vitamin E found in our sebum (skin oil), which creates a natural barrier to keep moisture in your skin generally declines with age. Oxidative stress caused by free radicals may contribute to the premature aging of cells. Vitamin E also plays a major role in maintaining proper functioning of the muscles and nerves, helps in the formation of red blood cells, and the utilization of vitamin K.

Vitamin E has been used to treat acne, Alzheimer’s disease, arteriosclerosis, bronchitis, cancer, cataracts, constipation, diabetes, fibrocystic breast disease, gallstones, gingivitis, heart attack and cardiovascular disease, hemorrhoids, infertility, irritable bowel syndrome, macular degeneration, menopausal complaints, Parkinson’s disease, premenstrual syndrome.

Vitamin E in used in skincare and wound-treatment products. In moisturizers, vitamin E stops skin from losing moisture, protects cells from damage, softens skin, and may be helpful for those with certain skin disorders, such as eczema. Vitamin E does not cause any known side effects except in extremely high doses (generally taken by mouth).
