When we think of Eucalyptus we tend to think of the respiratory system and chest and head congestion, however, Eucalyptus is also an analgesic pain-relieving oil that works on muscles and bones in addition to it respiratory benefits.
Helichrysum, which we typically associate with skincare and beautiful skin is surprisingly an analgesic as well. Helichrysum treats spasmodic and pain conditions of all types, including tension, migraine and vascular headaches, and has been used for rheumatic/arthritic pain, neurological pain, and pain associated with fibromyalgia and injury.
Lavender have been used for many decades to help improve emotional disposition, eliminate or reduce stress, induce relaxation, assist with nervous tension, depression and anxiety. Lavender is also an analgesic pain-reliever.
Lemongrass is an anti-inflammatory analgesic, spasmolytic, vasodilator that can function as a muscle relaxant for headaches, tension and pain, and can be used for acute arthritic/rheumatic pain.
Sweet Orange as a citrus oil is sweet and uplifting. Orange essential oil has antispasmodic and sedative properties which can help provide a calm space in the midst of your terrible migraine headache.
Peppermint, well-known to many for its minty, refreshing fragrance and taste has been used in everything from tea to toothpaste. Peppermint is an analgesic pain-relieving oil that is good for vascular and tension headaches. In addition, it is a good choice for all pain of inflammation or spasm, including neuralgia (including facial, dental, and sciatic), toothache, laryngitis, tendinitis, neuritis, plantar fasciitis, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (CTS), and cholecystitis.
Wintergreen is a strong anti-inflammatory, analgesic, spasmolytic and treats a wide range of acute inflammatory conditions with pain and spasm (especially musculoskeletal), headache, migraine, rheumatic/arthritic conditions, neuralgic conditions with acute pain and cramping. A vasodilator, it is also a cardiovascular relaxant and hypotensive.
Ylang Ylang is antispasmodic, sedative, tonic, reduces stress and tension, and is calming.
Apricot Kernal Oil is analgesic, anti-inflammatory, antispasmodic, emollient and sedative.
